Sonic R is a fully 3D racing game for the Sega Saturn
that was only about 20% complete at E3. The game
featuresthat famous hedgehog, Sonic and others
characters like Knuckles, Tails, Emmy, and Dr.
Robotnik, as well as fivehidden characters. The game
will have five tracks, with six shortcuts and seven
racing modes like a ring attack,tag, Relay Race and
regular mode.
The graphics consist of 3D polygonal characters and a
fully 3D world where you have full 360 degrees of
movement. Right now the graphics are pretty clean
and the textures look nice and there is minimal pop-up.
Thecontrol is really loose as it is hard to stay on the
road, but that might be something that will take time to
learn,which if it is, means that this game could have a
lot of depth. Sonic R is a very fun game and could be
a huge hit for the Saturn.
