Just imagine the combination of two
very successful games... Waverace
64 and ESPN Extreme Games.
Sounds good? Well, it's exactly
what you'll get from Jet Moto, a
racing game based on jetski-type
vehicles. Jet Moto is played on a
variety of tracks, each one
containing a different challenge than
its predecessors. The vehicles
actually levitate, similar to the
concept employed by WipEout.
This makes them able to move over
any terrain... water, mud, concrete,
or ice. Excellent control prevails
with the addition of turbo boosts
and the grappling tool - you can
make it around sharp turns by
grappling onto special gravity poles
and swinging around them.
Normally I'm not much of a fan of
racing games... but I was pleasantly
surprised after picking this title up.
Jet Moto has managed to lose the
cartoonish feel that Waverace 64
had. Tricks are still do-able, with all
kinds of maneuvers you can
perform. Overall, an excellent game.
